MMD | Magnesium Melting- and Dosing Cell
Because of the continuously growing application of magnesium in modern consumer electronics and the automotive industry magnesium diecasting and thus magnesium melting and dosing systems become more and more important. Apart from the diecasting mold, the diecasting machine and the related peripheral equipment, it is also the overall melting process that plays an important role in the required quality of casting and of cast ware.
The whole melting process begins with the required preheating of the ingots and continues via melting and holding the temperature in the magnesium furnace under a protective atmosphere to end with a controlled transfer of the melted material to the shot sleeve of the cold chamber diecasting machine.
